Bourgeois Guitars
Bourgeois Guitars built in Lewiston, Maine.
The name Bourgeois, in the world of guitars, means QUALITY due to the professional skills and talents of Master Luthier: Dana Bourgeois. He is a highly-regarded authority on the selection, voicing, and utilization of fine acoustic tonewoods. He is also great to work with when crafting our guitars as these are his most complicated and intricate. They also require a very demanding build process. From hot hide glue, varnish finishes, Adirondack bracing, the finest “Master” tonewoods and his endless pursuit of deriving the best acoustic tones, our creations are nothing less than spectacular. Not surprisingly, Bourgeois guitars are a favorite among professional finger style players. Dana’s DBJC is among his most sought after model with the widest tonal spectrum available and so very versatile too.
Dana and his team build only a small amount of guitars each year, treating each as an individual work of art. Look for the little details that make each guitar special…. custom wood bindings, custom rosettes, pure wood purfles and working directly with us in obtaining the very best wood selections on the market; all this gives each guitar it’s own unique voice and heirloom look.
Bourgeois guitars are cherished around the world by serious beginners, demanding musicians and appreciative collectors alike! Call us to discuss which Bourgeois may be the best one for you.
