Santa Cruz Guitar Company Shop tour with Richard Hoover

As a SCGC dealer which carries only the very finest custom spec’d SCGC instruments we just had to visit the fatherland to see how it all happens. Upon arrival Richard recommended we take a trip to the local Redwood forest, (being Redwood Acoustics after all), and then get back to the shop for intensive craft and shop tour. Well, the Redwood forest was wonderful to say the least, thank you Richard! Then to top it off Richard and I spent the rest of the day reviewing every step of the build process, from wood selection, tap toning, custom bracing techniques and so much more. The pic shows Richard Hoover and a top that has been tone tapped and braced for perfection. Thanks Richard for the generous invitation and all the personal time that you spent with me! A wonderful time for sure. And thanks to the rest of the staff for their time and input for our new batch of custom orders.
